Giving back to my community is one of my core values and interests.
Why did you choose the GRS specializations that you did?
I want to help efforts to create a more effective food system to help individuals in low-income countries live more food-secure lives and have good nutrition.
Where did you travel to (or where are you going) for your international experience(s)?
I went to my home country, Uganda, and did an internship with the Ministry of Agriculture and its partners.
When did your international experience(s) take place?
Last summer (2023)
What did you learn from your international experiences?
So many things! I learnt more about how to conduct myself in professional spaces and how nation-wide data can be analyzed to improve welfare.
What do you like best about the GRS program?
The flexibility. I can combine many of my interests to make a degree that will allow me to explore different industries when I graduate.
What year do you expect to graduate?
2024
