Class tonight: Tool Library and Organic Agriculture with Conner
Tonight’s class will feature GRS student Conner Wear. Conner will share his experience with the Vancouver Tool Library, including ways for you to get involved with this unique cooperative organization. He’ll also share some of the things he learned while at the Canadian Organic Science Conference in Winnipeg this year.
Also, on Friday you are invited to share your experiences as a GRS student at the Global Lounge from 1-3pm. Here’s what’s in store:
The UBC Jump Start Program is conducting a mapping project to better understand the academic culture of various departments and faculties at UBC, and we’d like to invite you to weigh in on behalf of GRS/LFS. The big picture question is: what does it mean to learn in the context of GRS/LFS at UBC? We’re always trying to reflect on and improve our program so we can provide the best experience possible for incoming international and Aboriginal students. We’re also looking at potential points of contact between the faculty and departments and our program, as well as opportunities for collaboration.
