Cordova St. (Between Thurlow & Bute, downtown Vancouver) To reserve a seat, RSVP by Thu.,Oct. 1st to: Kalene Lee at ubc.cpl@gmail.com The program provides air tickets for up to 100 students. This is a wonderful resource for students planning to do volunteer work overseas in 2010. The CARE Housing Society has earmarked 100 air tickets to support global citizenship education at UBC. These tickets (for use in 2010) will expire if they are not booked by the end of this year. I’ve been asked to help to draw this resource to the attention of UBC students who have worthy projects overseas and are looking for resources to support their participation in humanitarian work to make a difference. An information session and workshop is being offered to: -explain the criteria -assist eligible applicants in completing the application effectively -share experience and insights gained by UBC alumni of this program -clarify the donors’ interests and expectations, and -answer questions not addressed on the website This one and only one workshop is on Oct. 3, Saturday.
