Growing up in close proximity to the ocean, I have always been fascinated by what lives beneath the waves. With the ultimate goal of working in wildlife conservation, I felt that choosing biodiversity as a specialization would be the most useful topic of study.

I have yet to decide on a location for international experiences, but in the past, I have worked in research labs in California and in wildlife rehab in Costa Rica. Hopefully, I can continue this trend, either returning to Central America or somewhere new like South Africa or Australia.

I like the freedom of choice in the program the most, the ability to shape your learning to your specific goals rather than being told what you need. As well the global approach is great because it gives the students a much broader perspective than they would get in a normal program.
