Why did you choose the GRS specializations that you did?
I chose global health and nutrition because I am interested in working in healthcare. I find it really interesting how health and healthcare varies in different parts of the world. I haven’t decided for sure what my region is but I think I want to focus on the Americas and more specifically rural and remote parts of these countries. Access to healthcare is a large issue in these communities and that is something I want to have an impact on.
What do you like best about the GRS program?
What I like most about the GRS program is the flexibility it gives me in the courses I take. I spent a lot of time in my first year trying to decide what major to follow and never could pinpoint one subject I enjoyed more than others. I have been really enjoying having the opportunity to take some social sciences because I think they are really important for working in healthcare. The other thing that I love about GRS is the support you have within the community.
