Why did you choose the GRS specializations that you did?
I chose to study Global health because, I enjoy learning about diseases, their symptoms and causes. In a few of my courses last year, I learned about the social determinants of health. I enjoy exploring both the biological and social factors affecting human health.
Where did you travel to (or where are you going) for your international experience(s)?
I haven’t gotten any international experience during my time at UBC yet. However, I am thinking on going on exchange to another university in Canada or USA.
What do you like best about the GRS program?
Interdisciplinary studies and flexibility. I love science and also like humanities. GRS is perfect for my interests and preferred way of learning. The flexibility of choosing the courses that I think are important for me, gives me a lot of joy in studying and allows me to create my own path.
