WHY DID YOU JOIN GRS?
I joined GRS because I love the flexibility and interdisciplinary approach that the program allows me to take with my studies.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE COURSE YOU’VE TAKEN AT UBC?
CONS 310! The course focuses on ecology and climate change…I got to read tons of interesting papers and you get to learn from researchers that leaders within their fields!
IF YOU COULD DO ANYTHING (WITH UNLIMITED FUNDS) WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
I would probably want to travel the world by bike…I have never been outside of North America and there is so much to see!
ARE YOU PARTICULARLY PROUD OF A TIME YOU WERE PART OF A COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVE AT UBC?
I have really enjoyed volunteering in different labs at UBC. It’s a great way to meet people with similar academic interests and it’s a great way to connect with grad students and researchers at UBC.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING OUTSIDE OF THE CLASSROOM?
I love literally ANYTHING to do with bikes!!! Gravel bike racing and bikepacking are my favourites 🙂
