Why did you join GRS?
I really wanted to be in a program that had a close community and that I could shape toward what I’m passionate about.
Do you have a favourite course you’ve taken at UBC?
History of Latin America – HIST 250A I had not taken a HIST course prior but it was great anyways
LFS 490
GEOG 352 with Priti who is an actual activist
CRWR 201
enjoying SPAN 406 so far
If you could do anything (with unlimited funds) what would you do?
Have a big farm with some animals and lots of flowers and veggies and give it to people who want/need it/ have been denied access to it and also cook there with everyone and also give spaces for people to grow as well if they want and carry out lots of youth, children and adult programs, have beautiful food and pay everyone a living wage without ever having to take any loans. And then also support my neighbours as well.
Are you particularly proud of a time you were part of a community engagement initiative at UBC?
All the conversations about inclusion within environmental/ outdoor groups like CJUBC and the VOC.
What do you enjoy doing outside of the classroom?
I love walking/running/biking/skateboarding overall as ways of transport but also to spend time on a chill afternoon and see the city. I also really enjoy getting good deals while thrifting.
