Dr. Les Lavkulich, P.Ag.

Professor Emeritus, Soil Science and Resource Management & Environmental Studies 

Les Lavkulich is a Professor Emeritus in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems, UBC. Les obtained a B.Sc. (Dist) and M.Sc. from the University of Alberta and a Ph.D. from Cornell University. Les specializes in the areas of application of science to human welfare and policy development, land-use dynamics and the rural-urban landscape, soil chemistry and mineralogy.

Roxana Quinde

Program Coordinator, Global Resource Systems

Roxana Quinde was born and raised in Lima, Peru. Roxana graduated with B.Sc and M.Sc. degrees in Animal Science from the National Agrarian University, La Molina, Peru and an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from The University of British Columbia. As coordinator of Global Partnerships, Roxana has travelled to Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela. While on campus, she has learned about many cultural differences, as the GRS office manages international, visiting and exchange students, as well as linkages and consortiums from around the world.
