    Hello,

That sounds like an excellent idea to me! It would be a nice way to for students to see what potential exchange opportunities or networking contacts are available for their particular region of interest. Perhaps people who are concerned about privacy could opt out of the Google map, or the region that they visited could be marked with a generic symbol.

    Sincerely,

I agree with both of Anelyse’s ideas of opting out, and having a generic symbol for those concerned with privacy. These seem like logical solutions to the problem of privacy.

If executed correctly, I think that this map could potentially be a very effective tool for keeping GRSers in contact even as alumni. Also, it would open up a platform for students and alumni to share interests and maybe even provide a chance for an exchange of work experience in relevant fields.

    Let’s do it!

I think this is a great idea! Especially for graduating students or students going on exchange, this could be a very useful tool in connecting individuals to share information. I think it would be valuable to include information about specific organizations/volunteer opportunities in that place to help get students involved, and recommendations about finding housing. I am planning on going on exchange to Denmark next year, and would love to share my information when I return.
