UBC Dollar Project
Imagine if all of UBC’s 56,000 students, staff and faculty each donated one dollar to a single cause. Together, we can make a huge difference.
We are the UBC Dollar Project. Our mission is to show that the power of collective action is essential to fighting the local and global problems we face. This year, we are fundraisng for Raincity Housing, an organization dedicated to provide support, shelter and housing for thousands of people in the Lower Mainland. RainCity Housing is an independent, non-political, non-religious, charitable organization based in the Lower Mainland.
The Dollar Day is our biggest fundraising event of the year! Find us at SUB Main Concourse and warm yourself up with a cup of hot chocolate (please bring your own cup)! There will also be a free raffle and interactive game, and baked goods!
Time: January 21, 2010 (Thursday) 10am – 3pm
Location: SUB Main Concourse + various places around campus
What to bring? A mug for hot chocolate, a big heart to help support this event, and hopefully some donations too! 🙂
Join us at the celebration dance on January 22. All proceeds to RainCity Housing!
Our prizes for raffle winners include:
– sweater from Raincity Housing
– umbrellas from Raincity Housing
