Volunteer/Attend the Cowichan Wine and Culinary Event

O.U.R. ECOVILLAGE is putting out a massive plea to have ‘all hands on deck’ for the Cowichan Wine and Culinary Event. We are expecting about 1500 people throughout the weekend and really need you to show up. Any days people have prior for helping out with set up is greatly needed too……please all RSVP with exact dates you can be here. We also greatly need as many SILENT AUCTION items as possible. This could be goods or services. Examples are: $500 ‘Cob in the Village’ course Gift Certificate, $325 Shiatsu Series Gift Certificate(Patrick). For your knowledge activities will be: Cowichan Wine and Culinary Festival – at O.U.R. ECOVILLAGE (one of 15 venues) Saturday, September 19th & Sunday, September 20th. 10-4 daily Each day look for wonderful tea and exquisite Italian baked nibblies, savoury items and surprises. Noon onwards daily look for O.U.R. Circus Tent Crafted Beer Garden with live music all day (Ukulele Ladies, solos and more). Saturday: 11:00 – Amuse Restaurant speaks on Local Foods/slow Foods and restauranteering (Brad J. Boisvert) 1:00 – Food as Medicine (Nadine Ijaz) 3:00 – Food Waste Streams & Veg Oil Recycling for your Car (Dr. Bjorn Ratjen Auto) 6:00pm RESERVED SEATING Traditional Italian Dinner – $12/pp Zero Mile Meal straight from O.U.R. Garden, beverages and extra special dessert. 7:00pm EVENING DANCE PARTY – Bijoux du Bajou Band $15-$25/pp sliding scale Sunday: 11:00 – Amuse Restaurant speaks on Artisan Crafted Foods/Local Foods (Brad J.
