Ecojustice (formerly Sierra Legal Defence Fund) is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to lead development
of a successful, comprehensive fundraising program and team at Ecojustice. The Director of Development will provide
leadership, strategic direction, management and coordination for all fundraising efforts to help ensure Ecojustice’s
continued success in its mission to use the law to protect and restore Canada’s environment.
The Director of Development will work with a dynamic, passionate and successful Development Team and take the
lead to create fundraising strategies that increase the organization’s support from individual giving, major gifts,
online fundraising, direct mail, planned giving and grant funding. He/she will work in close collaboration with the
Executive Director, the Board and other senior staff and key volunteer leaders to achieve the fundraising goals of the
organization. The Development Director will build development infrastructure needed to generate new revenue sources
including human resources, communications, staff training and volunteer leadership.
