Volunteer Nutritionist (student or professional)
Position: Nutrition Specialist with Special Olympics BC
Mission: To provide individuals with an intellectual disability the opportunity to enhance their life and celebrate personal achievement through positive sport experiences.
Description: Special Olympics British Columbia is looking for a volunteer nutrition consultant to help with our ‘healthy athlete initiative’. The goal of this program is to increase the overall health of all our athletes in BC. The volunteer in this position would be responsible to help the coaches and athletes in our local programs develop healthy eating habits. One information seminar introducing the concept of healthy eating and what it entails, and then a few follow up sessions would be required.
We are looking for consultants all over BC. Whether you are a student, professional or have relevant experience, if you are interested please contact us.
Skills and Experience: Course work in nutrition/health or relevant work experience.
Volunteer Must Have: Requires criminal records check
