BC Dairy Foundation (BCDF) is a not-for-profit organization located in Burnaby, BC, seeking to fill the full-time position of School Programs Coordinator. The Coordinator will contribute to the successful implementation of established and developing programs by providing ongoing administrative support and by representing BCDF school programs to the public. Responsibilities:
Answers and responds to all incoming inquiries regarding school programs and related resources by phone, fax and email.
Maintains harmonious and effective relationships with all school programs stakeholders by providing a service-focused approach to delivering programs. Key stakeholders include educational institutions, educators and members of the public.
Represents BCDF at stakeholder conferences and events.
Actively promotes BCDF school programs and recruits new school registrations whenever possible.
Collates, assembles and ships promotional materials and correspondence as needed.
Maintains detailed and accurate school data through organizational database.
Monitors trends in program participation and generates reports as required.
Monitors and replenishes inventory of all school program materials on an ongoing basis.
Assembles and ships workshop kits and nutrition resource orders as needed.
Qualifications:
Ability to work independently with minimal direction, mature judgment, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
Demonstrated service-focused coordination of multiple programs
Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with others and successfully interact with stakeholders and peers
Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite, in particular Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Database and spreadsheet skills required
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Previous experience in a coordination and/or administrative role is an asset, particularly in the educational and/or non-profit sector
Some local travel, as well as evening and weekend work required
Driver’s licence requiredTentative position start date: November 15th, 2008.
