UBC has announced the transition to online courses for the remainder of the semester.
As of Monday, March 16th, 2020, The University has started to transition to online classes for the remainder of the winter term. This decision is aligned with advice from the Provincial Health Officer announced on March 12, 2020. All UBC students who plan to travel home may now do so, including all undergraduate international and domestic students. To clarify, students will not be attending classes on campus. Instead, your instructors will have contacted you in regards to alternative deliveries of your courses. Online instruction will continue and final exams will NOT take place in person. Details will be provided by LFS and your instructors about arrangements for exams as soon as possible. As of March 16th, UBC is beginning a three-week pilot of remote working arrangements for faculty, staff, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and student employees.
