Welcome to Global Resource Systems 290/390/490 2013/2014!
It is an exciting time of year as we transition into this more formal learning environment. One thing that makes it exciting is being part of a “community of learners” in GRS. As students and faculty come together to share knowledge, experience, and ideas, we have the opportunity to think critically and creatively about our world and our interactions within it, both locally and globally. For those of you who are new to Global Resource Systems, you are welcome, and for those of you who are returning, we look forward to seeing you again!
Our first class of the year will be this evening from 5:30-7 in Macmillan 160. It will be a time to meet one another and get a glimpse into what is in store for this year, academically and otherwise. Participation in this learning community takes place in a variety of mediums; in person and through our interactive blog. This website is a place to learn and to contribute towards the learning of others. As the term gets underway, we will be discussing the different forums and requirements for online participation. Stay posted for all relevant blog information, and see you tonight!
